The president of IFMA, Nigeria Chapter, Mr. Segun Adebayo led the Council and Members of the Association on a Facility Tour of the New Mobolaji Johnson train station Alagomeji, Yaba on the 14 July, 2022.

The tour is part of our drive towards the professional and sustainable management of public facilities and infrastructure by the agency of the Federal government. Beyond our readiness to collaborate with strategic public Institutions in achieving our collective drive as a nation, the tour also availed us of the opportunity to engage and understand the operational activities of the Nigeria Railway Corporation as it affects all the terminals on the Lagos – Ibadan route in particular and other routes in general.

Whilst we are committed to the seamless implementation of the President’s recently signed Executive order 11, this move is expected to enhance our strategic advocacy as we narrow down the implementation strategy to specific departments and agencies.

As we take the tour further, we will be visiting the Management of the Nigeria Railway Corporation as soon as possible where engagement and conversations will be around our observations, suggestions, and recommendations on the sustainable management of the train stations. The possibility of developing a template for the facility management operations of the terminals will equally be explored. This is our way of adding value and impact to the management of Public facilities and Infrastructure.
